Partial
roof cover over walking area
Steel
structure
The steel structure is a double I beam heavy duty construction.
The beams are free span and support the partial roof. The
partial covering
is approx. 13´wide Covering a walking section approx. 6´-7” wide.
Depending on the diameter there a minimum of 12 heavy duty roof supports
which not only creates a very sturdy structure but allows the perimeter
to be "round". The certified structure is hot-dipped-galvanised in
hot molten zinc.
The construction has been engineered in such a way
as to be erected with a minimum of construction knowledge and experience.
1 experienced foreman and 3-4 casual labour is sufficient. A Heavy
duty vehicles ( tractor, fork lift ) would assist installation. Roof
purlins
The roof purlins are bolted on to the steel
roof girders, dimensioned according to
structural engineering, requirements, 5” x 3 ½” .
The solid wood joists are smoothed and chamfered. The joists
are pressure/immersion treated.
Roofing
Material
Corrugated powder coated sheet metal roofing screwed down on the
roof joists, standard colors. As an option corrugated cement sheets
(hardy board). All roofing comes with joint covers. A rain guttering
over the entrance gate is available
as an optional extra.
